What you DO NOT get with ATV:

1. Cramming every possible minute with activities...
If you want a vacation that gives you a long list of activities each day and holds your hand every minute of the trip, then ATV is probably not for you. We build many open days into our itineraries--meaning we get you there, we set up central key activities to give you the lay of the land, and then we turn you loose to explore on your own (with plenty of help and advice from us).

2. Every meal provided...
Sumptuous breakfast buffets are provided at each hotel, but we are providing fewer lunches and dinners on our trips because everyone has different tastes. Some want to eat at the hotels for convenience while others want to sample every local hole in the wall. We end up taking many of our meals together anyway, but the cost for these is not included in the trip price unless noted in the itinerary.

How our trips work: Let us be clear: We are a small, family run outfit that gives you many advantages but also has some limitations compared to larger travel providers. What you get with ATV: 1. A superb value! If you organized the same trip yourself, you would find that the cost of the local flights and hotels alone would exceed our prices. We cost thousands less than big-name providers such as Backroads or Mountain Travel Sobek. 2. All key logistics handled so you can relax and go at your own pace. We hire local people to guide our sight-seeing in Vietnam. We do not guide the day excursions ourselves, and sometimes we send you off with the local guides we hire while we scout other, new possibilities. All guides are well educated and fluent in English. We have established great relationships with locals who see you as more than just dollar signs; these people take great pride in what they do.
