How self guided works:

Arriving in any new city with no contacts can be stressful. This is especially so in Vietnam where the language barrier is stronger than in most other Asian countries. Don't run the risk of getting ripped off or taken to a dumpy guest house in a bad part of the city. Let us have one of our people meet you at the airport and get you to a good hotel in your price range. It can be a great comfort to arrive in the chaos of Saigon and see someone holding a sign with your name on it.

Our help may stop there--or you might want us to plan a city tour or a longer excursion into the countryside. Let's say you want to go on a boat tour in Halong Bay. There are dozens of operators to choose from, and we can take the guess work out so you know you'll have a quality experience.

Your dates of travel.
Your approximate budget and/or the style of lodging and comfort you prefer.

We will give you a rough estimate of some options and a rough idea of cost. If you want us to proceed from there, we have to contact our people in Vietnam and confirm the price.

As stated above, we have spent countless hours arranging and confirming custom itineraries for people who disappear as soon as we ask for a deposit. The self guided option is an extremely good value and a good idea for more independent, adventurous types. We guarantee the availability of all contracted services on the date(s) we plan them. HOWEVER, we are not there to assist when a storm or other unforeseen occurance delays your itinerary. You will be on your own to handle any such changes.
