Testimonials:
Vietnam is an
undiscovered treasure! This was our first time in any part of
Asia and we were completely taken with the gracious Vietnamese people
as well as the beauty and cleanliness of Vietnam. Ha Long
Bay topped the list for spectacular scenery and relaxation. We
can understand why it has been designated a World Heritage Site by
UNESCO. The two nights on the Chinese Junk sailing
through the 1000 or so mountains that rise from the sea, visiting
a floating village, sea kayaking, and eating great meals was an
adventure we would not have missed. The Furama Resort on China
Beach in DaNang was one of the nicest we have ever visited.
The beach was clean and empty and the water was warm (all this in
December). At every hotel and restaurant we were greeted
with warm smiles and great food. Even the airport food was
great. We felt it was well worth the money we spent going with
ATV because the trip was so well planned and you could never get this
value on your own. It was nice to know that transportation, hotel
reservations and the majority of our meals had already been planned.
This made travel much less stressful. The restaurants selected by
Derek were excellent and of a nice variety. The hotels and resorts were
very nice (all 5 star) and the itinerary was just scheduled enough that
we felt we had
guidance in visiting the important sites, yet loose enough to allow for
individual
preferences (did we mention mud baths, mineral pools and hour massages
all
for $15.00 in NaTrang?) We would go back in a minute.!

And from
someone who went self guided:
I
worked with Derek at TAO Guide Service/Adventure Tours Vietnam to help
me plan my first trip to Vietnam. I had an idea of where I
wanted to go, but Derek provided invaluable guidance with my
itinerary--how long and where to stay in each city, when to splurge and
how to save, and best modes of transportation between
destinations. Derek has outstanding relationships with travel
agencies and tour guides throughout Vietnam, and these local contacts
proved to be very helpful during my trip. Working with Adventure
Tours Vietnam provided the perfect blend between an independent and
planned trip. I enjoyed the independence and flexibility, but
also very much appreciated knowing that I had a support system.
I've already recommended Adventure Tours Vietnam to friends who are
planning a trip to Vietnam, and would definitely work with ATV again.

This being my
first trip to Asia, I did what I had never done before,
and signed up for a guided tour. Little did I know that it would
end up being one of the best trips of my life! Hien and Derek are
very knowledgeable and reassuring guides, and together they provide a
fun,
relaxed and adventurous atmosphere. With them I was able to see
and
experience things I could have never imagined, and I had such a
wonderful
time, I am already planning on going back!

Thanks to Derek,
Hien, Loi and Vu, our trip to Vietnam was great! They took care
of everything and made sure that the trip went smoothly. It was
comforting to know that Loi would meet us at the airport since we were
very tired and arriving at night in a new country. He spirited us
to our hotel, which he had arranged for us since we arrived in advance
of the others in our group.
The hotel was in a great location and he took care of all of the
details.
We chose to stay an additional week, in order to see the Mekong Delta
and other locations. Loi put together a very affordable package
for us, with a wonderful guide named Vu. Vu was friendly,
informative, and easy to communicate with. He took care of all of
our needs.
It was wonderful to focus on the beauty of Vietnam, instead of worrying
about making decisions. Many thanks to Loi and Vu for all of the
planning and arrangements they made!
